Exam questions for the CBAP
Certification are multiple-choice. Therefore, the purpose of the questions is
to assess your proficiency with the BABOK structure and principles. Both
scenario- and case-study-based questions are included. According to the
empirical data, the case study-based questions can have a response rate of
20%–35%. The case studies are lengthy (one or two pages), and they serve as the
basis for several questions.
Ø 120 multiple-choice questions
Ø The exam lasts for 210 minutes, or 3.5 hours.
Ø There will be 4 answers for each question.
Ø There will only be one right response for each query.

In order to become a CBAP®,
candidates need to:
Ø At least 7,500 hours of business analysis work experience
must have been completed during the last 10 years.
Ø In 4 out of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas, at least 900
hours were completed throughout this event, accounting for at least 3,600 of
the necessary 7,500 hours.
Ø In the last 4 years, complete at least 35 hours of
professional development.
Ø Give two citations.
